Thursday, we drove up at a really early 7 AM start. Still ran into Chicago traffic... I'm convinced that run through I-90 that passes the city is a rite of passage to get into MFF, and you -have- to inch along in traffic for that. Anyway, we get there, I run into Tony who arrived a couple hours later (they got kinda lost, sadly. Especially since they were on the right road). Otherwise though, uneventful day, and we left for Penny's after wandering around the con, where I stayed the night.
Friday was a busy day, as I was running around trying to get a fair # of commissions set up. Got one from gunmouth, as well as one from kuraianubis and one from Lucky Lindsey. I love them all, and am looking forward to seeing the gunmouth one completed soon. :D I'm sure my watchers are looking forward to seeing it completed as well, you pervs. ;3 As for official con-related activities, I hit up both Uncle Kage's story hour, as well as 2's show, and their combined thing. After that was Whose Lion, which was one of the crazier ones I've seen, although I also felt that it was one of my better performances (in terms of overall suggestions and the like... definitely one of my strongest). The dance was, sadly, full of bass and fail... is it too much to ask to be able to hear the melodies of the songs we're supposed to be dancing to? Anyway, we left for Penny's again, where some New Super Mario Bros was had.
Saturday was pretty eventful too. More running around with friends, more commission inquiries and setups. Watched the fursuit parade next to myrilla (Hiiiii Myri~~~), which was fun. An improv theatre came to the con and put on a show called "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind", which was actually pretty damn funny and awesome to watch, as they had a set of 30 plays that they had to get through in 60 minutes, so they were -fast-. After that was some more running around (The first hour of the dance had 80's music and techno, and you could actually hear the melody!), and then off to the charity show by 2 and Kage. It was pretty fun just listening to them riff off each other and talk to each other. Shout out all to kritterfox, whom I finally got to meet (he was sitting down the row from me. I noticed the badge and was like "YOU!" :D). That ended at 1:30, which threw some scheduling kinks in re: some friends who were very hospitable. For that, I apologize to them.
Sunday was, as all last-day-of-con days are, melancholy, as I spent much of the day saying good bye to friends and wishing them well. Commissions were completed (save for one, but I'm happy to wait, as the quality is amazing), and I got most of what I wanted out of the con, so I feel pretty satisfied.
I really don't want to get back to school, since final projects are a lot closer in terms of deadlines than I would like them to be... it's like any time I do get a fair amount of relaxation life has to rebound and smack me upside the head. But, no whining... just gotta knuckle down and get through it. Looking forward to pending commissions, and I'll be sure to keep the commissions coming in as I can. :D Hope everyone else had a great time at MFF, and I look forward to seeing you at future cons.Current Mood: happy

Here's my report on the awesome goings-on of Anthrocon 2009!
Thursday: Woke up at 6:30 in the morning to head on over, so we would miss as little as possible. Drove in with Equino, Smittens, and Panda, and it was a touch cramped. Then again, Equino had his truck with the two half-seats in the back, and that was where Panda and I were… it didn’t help that Panda tried to work on Matlab stuff during the time, which made him motion sick (luckily, he didn’t actually get sick, just felt ill). Anyway, we arrived, and I dropped my stuff off at the room before wandering up to the zoo, where much fun was had seeing everyone again as well as meeting new peeps. Then it was off to Opening Ceremonies, followed by exploring the con and heading back to the zoo to hang with peeps some more. Finally, went with Mags, Kenji, Bunnymew, and Zero to a bar about 45 minutes away, where we got –trashed- that night. I had a Rum and Coke, a Rum and Sprite, and four shots of Wild Turkey… in the course of about an hour and a half. First time I’ve been drunk enough that I couldn’t walk straight, but it was great fun hanging out with them the entire time. Then, back to the hotel, before sleep so that I’d be up and able to function the next day.
Friday: First, wandered around for a bit in the zoo, looking for people, and hung out until the Dealer’s Den opened. Actually, we went for lunch while everyone crammed into the Dealer’s Den, and then went to the Dealer’s Den when everyone else left for lunch, so it worked out well. New place had opened up right outside the hotel, called Cory’s… and it had really good Cheesesteak sandwiches. Also, it appears he’s going to be the second ‘friend of the con’, so to speak (the first being Fernando). Anyway, checked up on some artists, found some new ones for commissions (which I’m gleefully waiting to see the results of), and enjoyed the general atmosphere of the place… -barely- made it through the Artist’s Alley before it closed though. Also was worried for part of it, as Nightfox had become a little ill (it turned out she was excited, extremely hungry, and needing sleep, so we took her back to the room for a bit). We also hit up Kage’s story hour, and I met Witchiebunny while in line there, so we hung around for that and she mentioned that the next day there would be a TFP meetup in the zoo, so I mentally noted that. Anyway, after that we sat around in the zoo and goofed off, before I was dragged into the dance. I use the term dragged because I’m not a dancer, and generally the Anthrocon dance tends to crank the bass up a bit louder than I enjoy (I like to dance to the melody more than to the bass). I danced for a little bit, with the highlights being Panda picking me up and spinning me around in his fursuit, and also people dragging me onto the floor to actually dance, which I did a little of, before I left for the room again. We did an impromptu awards ceremony for Amber, for reaching 1000 comics, complete with Star Wars music and a standing line of people (and a walrus!). Then I went to Whose Lion for a couple hours, which is always an enjoyable panel.
Saturday: Busiest day of the con, no doubt. First there was the requisite Dealer’s Den perusing (as well as going through the Art Show with Tony), and hitting people up in the Artist’s Alley. Then I went off to the zoo to meet up with The Furry Pound group, and got to meet a lot of people that I’ve had many a fun frag with/against. This was awesome, and we sat and chatted for an hour or so before I went off to find people again. Ended up sitting in the zoo and chatting with friends, missing both 2’s show and the fireworks… but friends >> both of those in my book, so I still had a great time. Fast forward, and once again the dance was going on, only this time I was dragging people to it. Brought Tony there, and got him to dance, along with Ravenworks (another friend of mine)… apparently the dance convinced Raven how the con dynamics really worked (I.E. don’t care, just enjoy yourself), so he should be set for next year. What was -really- rather strange was that later, people told me that I was tearing it up, and complimented me on my dancing. XD I was -not- expecting that, but it was a pleasant surprise nonetheless. Ended up heading back to Tony’s hotel with him, and met back up with Mags, Bunnymew, and Kenji… I did feel bad though, as being that late (around 1, 1:30 AM) meant that we missed the bars… I have to bring rum for them next year in penance.
Sunday: Couple people in the group had left by this point, but we still kept on as best we could. Went with roommates for some breakfast at “Crazy Goat Coffeehouse”, and then back to the con for the last day. Got cards for people who I may want to commission later on, and then hung out at the zoo for most of the day, before seeing various friends out. Ended up missing the closing ceremonies, but I got the final number from Twitter anyway… 3,766 people. Which is -huge-. Anyway, then it was off with Equino and Smittens (Panda ended up getting another ride), at around 8:30 PM. We got home around 2:30 or 3 AM, and now I have the next day or two to unpack and such before I’m off to Million Man LAN (and a wedding in Tennessee in the middle of it o.o). Then it’ll be time to ride out the waves of PCDS which will no doubt hit me. At any rate… 9th convention, and absolutely crazy enjoyable.Current Mood: ecstatic

Going to try to update this again, given that my last post was from Christmas (?!!!)
So I went over to Katrina 's house yesterday. Thunder Over Louisville is just as much fun with friends at someone's house as it is when you're out on the Waterfront, so I had a good time just relaxing and getting to hang out with friends. Plus, Alex makes a delicious Godiva Chocolate Martini. o.o
I've got a question for others who watched the show on television/internet stream... do you think that the constant ads of Lottery + Meth warnings might be giving our national/international viewers a bit of a skewed look at Kentucky? I mean, I must've seen both the Hotdog Cannon and Slurpee Machine commercials for the Kentucky Lottery Pick 3 at least 6 times each, and right before/after them was a PSA from the Louisville Metro Police Department about Meth destroying lives.
I mean, really... is that the kind of idea we want to get out to the rest of the world? o.oCurrent Mood: chipper

Ugh. I'm not supposed to have nightmares of failing out of school when I'm not even taking classes!!! ;.;
( Stoopid brain... )
Other than that... I feel stupid lately. As an example, I hooked a laptop hard drive I had up. Was going to use it to back stuff up. Well, it started making a nasty clicking noise. Not good, and I assumed that it was dead (it'd been lying on a shelf for 6 months... could've fallen or something). Anyway, I pulled it open and saw that the platters weren't even spinning. Acting on a hunch, I (quickly) reassembled it and hooked it up directly to the computer instead of through the crappy USB hub I bought at Walmart, and it works. Well... mostly. I'm running into bad sectors every now and then, which makes me think I just killed a perfectly good 60 GB laptop drive. -.-
Work's going alright... no problems of my own to speak of... but we're losing two coworkers...
So how's all of you?

| » Epic Sushi FTW |
So... I forgot to post about last week's cooking thing... we did a fairly simple Beer Chili, with an appetizer of a regular salad with a -really- nice cherry Sherry vinegrette. I didn't remember to save the recipes, but I'll dig 'em up and edit this post when I get 'em.
However, last night we did our 'sushi party'. It worked wonderfully, and I had a great time. Panda and I had to take a little bit of a hit monetary-wise, but I had an absolute blast, so it was completely worth it. :)
Thanks to Alpha, Ouka, Ka, Terzy, Knight Fox, Denyen, Dissy, Theome, Justin, Miwako, Eric, and Sapi for attending.
Granted that it was even more awesome that even after people started taking off, the night/morning wasn't over... The 4 or 5 others that were still here went out to a couple local places to hang out with the addition of Houndy, who couldn't make the sushi thing. More fun was had by all, and we didn't get back in until 5 AM. XD
Now to go back to sleep. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz XD It was an awesome time.

| » So... Stuff and Things |
Firstly... been working on a list of long-term plans for myself, at least for the next 10 years. I've felt a lot better since starting this, so I'm fairly sure that was the trigger of the emotional moment I had a while ago.
Secondly: Last Friday, Panda, Theome, and I got together and did another food thing. We made homemade cheese ravioli... the inside cheese was a mixture of Jarlsberg, Havarti, and goat cheese. The sauce was a ricotta salmon mix, and it was absolutely delicious. Recipes for people who want to make 'em: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/tyler-florence/pasta-dough-for-ravioli-recipe/index.html (For the ravioli) http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=285611 Salmon Ricotta Sauce The cheese we just kinda worked with the mixtures until it 'tasted right'... I think we ended up with a 20% goat, 40% Havarti, 40% Jarlsberg mix.
Thirdly: Crazy weekend... Friday was the cooking thing, and yesterday was tremendously busy. First, the E-Town ('bout an hour south of Louisville) furres held a picnic, which was extremely fun once we were able to find the place (There's a Freeman Lake Road and a Freeman Lake Park Road... *grumble*). Lots of water fights (I chose to use a cup, because very few Super Soakers can equate to a cup of water), some four-square (I always manage to pull something, or a lot of somethings, when I play), me being carried by Fink and Deagle, and a lot of other miscellaneous fun and games. After that, we left and I got a shower, cleaned up, etc... before heading off to Lexington for Ka's party. Was great fun, as expected, and amazingly enough I didn't see anyone over-drink while I was there. We left the same night/morning because Theome wanted to get back to Louisville, but I still had a great time. :)
Now, to study, as I've got a Prob/Stats final on Thursday (cumulative), and Linear final on Friday (cumulative), and a Linear test tomorrow (on Unit 7, which thankfully I have a good grasp of).
Oh, finally:
If there are one or more people on your friends list who make your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.
Man... this sentence is so true it's crazy. If it wasn't for the Internet I would still be 'that computer geek' at school who was socially ostracized (except when someone needed their computer fixed), stayed at home on Friday/Saturday nights, and wouldn't want to really talk or hang out or anything like that.

| » Musings |
So, I'm doing better than I was last post. I appreciate all the comments (both here on LJ and through IM/email)... they were very helpful, whether in uplifting my mood, reminding me of various sentiments, or helping me get into a different frame of mind. I believe that I've figured out at least what's triggering the feelings... I've yet to come up with an effective solution, but the first step is always figuring out what's going wrong.
I have no long term plans.
Sure, obviously the one to get through college is a long-term plan. I don't forsee any massive problems with that. But then... what?
Right now? I'd probably go to work for the people I'm currently doing co-ops for. There's nothing wrong with that. I'd use the money to continue living my life as I have been, going to one or two cons a year, paying the bills, hanging out with friends, etc... etc... etc...
Once again, nothing wrong with that. But there's nothing new about it.
Rewind to when I was mid-teens to late-teens. I had plans for college. I had plans for self-discovery. I had plans to attend conventions I'd never gone to before, see people I'd never met before. I was experiencing dozens of new things a month. Now, things are beginning to turn into the status quo. While plenty of people love the status quo (no one likes ruining a good thing), it's not enough for me. I have to expand my horizons, challenge myself in new and different ways... or else I fall into a rut.
I'm going to need to do some soul searching to figure out exactly what I want to do, where I want my life to go... because right now it feels more or less like I just completed one of those free-to-explore video games (GTA series, etc...), and am free to just wander around... but that my main 'purpose' has already been completed.
I don't want to just spend the rest of my life wandering aimlessly.
Thoughts, comments, even just hearing that I'm not the only one who's ever found themselves adrift goal-wise... anything helps.

Sorry for the belated post of this... been busy. Yes, things are going better... there'll be another post in a bit regarding myself.
Last Friday Panda, Denyen, and I got together and did the standard cooking thing. Came out wonderfully. Recipes are as follows:
http://www.foodreference.com/html/sauteed_duckbreast.html With a side (became an appetizer because we mistimed) of http://italianfood.about.com/od/tipstricks1/a/aa091697.htm
We replaced the duck with chicken because we couldn't find any duck that was non-frozen. Still came out good.

| » Banging on the proverbial walls, screaming help... |
So I usually try to keep my LJ happy and upbeat. I may rant about the various day-to-day or week-to-week goings on, but even though it's a journal, it should also contain some optimism. I do like to think of myself as a fairly optimistic person.
That said... this may end up being an extremely depressing and.or morbid post... because frankly, that's the feeling that is presently inside me. No... I'm not and doubt I will ever be suicidal... rather, above all and everything else, I'm scared.
Yes... that's the closest I can get to what I'm feeling right now. I'm honestly terrified out of my freaking mind. I can't even properly express how scared I am... but it is there nonetheless.
"But Matt... what is there to be scared about? You've managed to keep your scholarship for 3 years of high-intensity Engineering School. You've got a wonderful house you're living in, you're surrounded by both technology and a massive (and yet also extremely close) group of friends... what could be terrifying you enough that you keep tearing up as you write this?"
I can answer that with one word. Time.
I can't stand the fact that I'm 21 and a half years old. I can't stand the fact that I'm into my fourth year of college. I can't stand the fact that my 6th furry convention happened... and that it's already over. I can't even stand the fact that tonight, I was playing WoW with my level 67 Paladin.
Every. Single. Thing. In my life. Reminds me in some way, shape, or form, of the fact that I've been living my life. Don't get me wrong... I have very few regrets over how I've lived my life up to this point. I've enjoyed it quite thoroughly, and in the process became a lot more comfortable with myself as an individual. As mentioned above... there's not much to complain about.
I suppose this is very roundabout way of saying essentially that I'm scared of time passing me by. I'm scared that one day I'm going to wake up and be 77. Now, don't get me wrong, 77 is a wonderful age, and I certainly hope that one day I'll wake up and be 77 (as opposed to the alternative of, you know, not...), but at the same time... I can remember back when I was 14, playing Core (an old-school MUD) and looking forward to learning how to drive in 2 years. I can remember waking up on Saturday mornings at 6 AM when I was 8 so that I could catch episodes of ReBoot, and then going to the family computer (yes, we only had one at the time) to play The Realm. More vividly, I can remember staring outside the back door of my parent's house, thinking about how I would eventually be leaving for college.
Where the hell has the time gone, and where is it still going? I don't want my life to finish...
Entry finished... *off to go sob into a pillow*

| » AC 2008 Report |
Wednesday: Took off shortly after classes to pick up Ouka and Dissy. Then we left, heading to Pittsburgh. They were both nervously excited, while I was just generally happy and looking forward to it. Along the way, much entertaining conversation occurred, including at one point Ouka pointing out a rainbow and my comment of "Oh shit, it is!". She misheard, and believed I had said "No Shit!", which caused much humor once it was resolved that I was not an asshole. Other than traffic, a small storm, and idiot civil engineers (Who the hell closes two lanes of traffic out of three on a major interchange into Pittsburgh), we got there without incident. Once there, I found parking (after seeing Saist walk by and having him get into the [overpacked] car, spilling a cooler full of ice water onto Dissy). We then headed to the Mariott. Little did we know that the Mariott that had the giant letters on it was the wrong one, and was 5 blocks uphill. The one we were supposed to go to was actually -closer- to the convention center than the Westin, and wasn't uphill. We got it ironed out, and dropped the luggage off. I was able to hook up with friends, and eventually we found food at Pizza Parma's. Then we headed off, for sleep.
Thursday: Started the day much the same as any other normal con day. Awake at 8 AM regardless of what time we got to sleep. Began to wander around, as the pre-reg lines weren't supposed to open until 2 PM. Found out in fact that they did open early (which kinda sucked) but luckily the L line (my last name) wasn't very long. Got my badge, then headed to the zoo to camp out there for a while. As there wasn't too much occuring at the con at the time, we camped out there for most of the day, and then that night left for a bar with Magalian. That's all you're going to hear on the subject, as it was... a new experience.
Friday: Woke up, showered, and off to the con for another day. Hit up the Dealer's room when it opened, and got to see a bunch of the standard con peeps I enjoy talking with. Got to hang out with Keaton, Hazzy, and Sofox, who were all new con-goers, as well as Tapewolf, Kenji, Mab, and that crowd, who were established. Naturally couldn't help but purchase some swag... although I swore I'd slow down on it, I still managed to spend about $300 by the end of the con... oh well. Also did our con standard of taking Holly out to the Chinese place to eat, as well as the rest of our group (managed to pull in a good 13-14 or so). Friday ended with Kenji, Dragoon, Sirius, me, and Mags heading to the bar that Mags' family owned, where we sat, drank, and played some pool. Then it was off to Mags' house, which was also an interesting travel situation. Granted that we did have to leave the bar a little earlier than we expected due to a biker gang entering who were known for causing trouble. Eventually (3:30 or so in the morning) we got back to the hotel, and time for sleep.
Saturday: Possibly the highlight of the con... another normal day in the dealer room and what not... the big event was later, when we were all going to get food. We ended up going to a bar/grill that was right outside the hotel I stayed in. When I said "we all", I mean "we all", as there were a good 14-15 people. The ones I can remember are Mab, FoxyTangerine, Cheetah, Kenji, Sofox, Tapewolf, me, Val Kyrie, OMGTKB, Gyr and Darci, and a couple others from FoxyTangerine's group. Much fun was had by all, and I discovered a new drink I like. Whiskey sours are pretty good, and also moderately strong. I had two and was rather buzzed during dinner and the proceeding trip to the zoo. Mab was about one and a quarter Long Island Iced Teas in and was also amusing, but by far the most amusing was Kenji. Kenji had two Rum Runners. Now mind, my Whiskey Sours came in a small drinking glass. His Rum Runners came in a soda glass. He had two. For the remaining night at the zoo, he was literally falling out of his seat. At one point he took Mab with him. He couldn't stop laughing either, which was great fun to poke and tease him about it. Mab then went off to work on her sketchbook commissions, while Mags, Kenji, and I went up to Dragoon's room, as Mags wanted to drink. Kenji and I were content to sit and chat, as Terzy and Pox (her sister), Sirius, Stylix, and Eealial were all there as well. We watched some amusing Youtube videos, chatted, and then left for sleep times.
Sunday: I hate the last day of cons. They're so bittersweet. On the one hand, the con takes a -lot- out of you, so you are happy to get away from it. On the other... Where the hell did the time go? I mean, any given friend I could spend 3 weeks with, and you're asking me to spend 4 days with 50+ of them? That's not even remotely fair. Well, anyway, I hung out with people as long as I could, packed, got my stuff in the car, and then had to run around trying to find people to say goodbye to. Worst. Part. Of. A. Con. Ever. I sat in the room for a little bit waiting for people to get ready, and choked back some situations where I probably could've burst into tears. Initially the plan was to caravan with Knight and Alpha, but then Ouka decided to ride with them and they really wanted to get home, so they went on ahead. Meanwhile, I went to pick up Dissy, who's phone had died. The only problem was that all the streets were blocked off for some bicycle thing, so I got detoured onto a highway, and it took 5 miles before I could get to an exit to turn around. Frustrating, but I managed to make my way back and pick her up. Then, we tried getting BACK to the highway and were blocked by some concert going on. At this point I was getting annoyed, as my GPS took forever to recompute a 438 mile route and I kept having to detour. Finally I got on a highway, heading the wrong way, but at least this gave the GPS a chance to catch up. Then we turned around, hit the interchange (thankfully not having to run into any surface streets), and away we were for home. Dissy and I chatted most of the trip, and ironically enough after we stopped for gas and food for Dissy, Alpha called me, asking where we were. I had just passed a distance sign saying "68 miles" to Cincinnatti, and I mentioned as much. I also asked her where she was, and she said there was a sign approaching. Lo and behold, it was the same sign. We had managed to get ahead of them, so we slowed down and caravan'd the remaining way to Louisville. We split off at Gene Snyder, and I took Dissy home, followed by me heading home myself to just collapse. All in all, a good con, but I hate leaving.
Oddly enough, today, my post-con depression has decided to manifest itself in a strange way. Usually I get really weepy and sad... today I've been in kind of a RAGE mood, which is equally as annoying, only I can't handle it as well. Little tiny things that should have no business bothering me are just setting me off left and right. Oh well...

| » Eventful weekend. O.o |
So... as follows is more or less how my weekend went.
Friday: Father and sister were still here on account of my sister had Orientation to finish. My Physical Fitness and Conditioning class told us Friday's class was optional, which was nice, as that's my only class for the day. Went around to a couple antique places with dad, then had Onyx... or more precisely Onyx's boss help fix my MP3 player headphone jack once again. This may be the last time (the headphone jack is all sullied up from constant resoldering), hence why I'm working towards epoxying the darn thing to the board so it doesn't fail again. Then, Friday night, Panda and Miwako showed up, and we cooked for about 3 hours straight. D: Since we started at 11 PM or so, we didn't finish until 2. But it was still fun. We made Deep-fried beer-battered Flounder (recipe: http://www.cooks.com/rec/doc/0,1617,159185-238206,00.html) and Corn-breaded Catfish with Creole sauce (recipe: http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1717,145188-232201,00.html). Both came out pretty tasty... but what was absolutely delicious was when we threw some onions into the batter and deep-fried them. Mmmmmm TASTY. *drools*. One casualty to report... my pair of serving tongs. As I did not have anything else to grab the fish/onions out of the oil once they were ready, we had to use the tongs... which were made of plastic. D: Oh well.
Saturday: Woke up and with their help cleaned up all the dishes the previous night's escapade had generated. Then they left to go home and sleep more (working on setting their sleeping schedule for Japan time), and I went off to DarkTiger's birthday party. Much fun was had, and a -serious- number of people showed up for it. While I was there we watched Sweeney Todd, which was a pretty amusing movie, if exceptionally macabre. They then continued to watch Golden Compass and Ghostbusters, but I was kinda movie'd out. Other highlights include watching them try to manage Twister, getting to pet Felina's new cat (ZOMG <3 I love cats), and just general awesome hanging-out.
Today: Well... off to a confusing start. Was supposed to go with Equino to Six Flags... but I tried calling him and nor esponse, so my morning may be slightly slower than I believed. Later today, going to try to meet up with Denyen and B_Bat to do some D&D... plus Deagle offered to help me fix my MP3 player (using plastic to prop the jack in the case so it doesn't move). Even more interesting is that two other friends want to hang out with me today, one virtually on WoW, and one here in the realw orld. I'm hoping I'll be able to free up enough time to do as much as possible.
Wewf... when did I become so popular? O.o

Beginning to be afraid that my LJ has turned into a cooking journal... but this is the most eventful thing that ever happens in my life, so... XD
Tonight Panda dropped by once again, and we cooked some more. Tonight's dish was a Teriyaki-Marinated Steak, with a side of Whipped Potatoes and a desert of Walnut-infused homemade brownies. Mmmmm... I is a happy crane. Since in previous posts people have asked for recipes... I'm just going to start posting it in the main journal. It'll be an LJ cut though, so ya dun have to see it (and get hungry) if you don't want to. :)
( Yum recipes! All of these on Internet, no less )
In other news... I has a new phone. Went out, and did my co-op splurge... I have a cell phone I can be seriously proud of. http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/cellphones/verizons-lg-vx10000-voyager-revealed-and-groped-with-gallery-306428.php -Seriously- fun to play with. :D My first phone that has polyphonic sound, too.

So, Panda stopped by, rather improptu-like. I was sitting, playing WoW, and got a call on my phone:
"Please tell me you haven't eaten dinner yet... I'm outside". XD
So I went outside, greeted him, and off we went. We decided on chicken as a base, and then came up with stirfry as a good meal. Had to go out to get some stuff, but -damn- was it delicious. Super spicy, too. I could tell when I smelled it... it's Thai stirfry, not Japanese stirfry. XD
Was Thai Stifry, for sure... XD Especially given the taste.
Washed it down with two Woodchuck Hard Ciders... he bought some cognac, so I got to try that too. It was apple-flavored, and had a really nice aftertaste to it.
Anyway, sleep for me, as I still have class in the morning to consider.
